Muscatine needs your help.
If you live in Muscatine, are originally from here, have family here or any other connection to our community, please show your support and help Muscatine become a Blue Zone community.
Showing your support is a very easy thing to do. You can log on to the link above, or you can text the letters BZP to 772937 and then follow the instructions that will be texted back to you.
It is VERY important that when you are asked for a zip code that you use 52761. You can register for each email address you have. If you have four email addresses, please register each one and be sure to use Muscatine’s 52761 zip code.
This could be a great opportunity for Muscatine. Please take a few minutes to help.
Researchers have found that people who live in Blue Zones share nine common lifestyle behaviors that have a direct impact on their increased well-being and longevity. These principals called Power 9 Principals can be found on the web site: http://www.bluezonesproject.com . “Down Shifting” to enjoy nature and it’s beauty is part of Muscatine’s Blue Zones goal. Show your Muscatine BZP support and enjoy its benefits. Thanks Mr.Steinbach!!
I think the butterfly is a “Red Admiral.” it’s a common Iowa butterfly but is usually seen in late May and June. There’s a lot of them in Cedar Rapids, too: http://crbiker.blogspot.com/2012/04/butterfly-visitor-and-passenger.html
