Editor’s Notebook: Journal newsroom expands to everywhere

A tiny newsroom at a radio station in Sioux City paid me in the summer of 1988 to report and write a news story for the first time. I was 21 and pretty full of myself -a real, professional reporter. Or so I thought. Rest of the story.
