Iowa law professor suspects politics played role in World Bank nomination

Enrique Carrasco, a law professor and director of the UI Center for International Finance and Development, says Jim Yong Kim is an unusual pick to lead World Bank since his predecessors have mostly had political or financial backgrounds, not health and education, according to a blog posting today by Tom Snee of the University of Iowa’s  Communication and Marketing office.

A Facebook friend today also pointed out this 2005 profile of Kim in the Muscatine Journal for anyone who might like a little more information.
