Kelsey Gaskey is going to hear today from a lot of friends.
The 23-year-old Muscatine woman won $50,000 with an Iowa Lottery Super Crossword ticket. A massage therapist, Gaskey claimed her prize May 16 at the Iowa Lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids. She bought her winning scratch-off ticket at Casey’s, 3010 University Drive in Muscatine.
“I’ve never had this kind of money, or ever even thought about having this kind of money,” she told lottery officials in an interview.
Gaskey says she plans to use some of her winnings to get her own place, as well as share with her loved ones. “I know my grandma has given me a lot so I’d like to help her out,” Gaskey said.
