Kudos to the NRA for remaining largely silent since the school shooting Friday in Connecticut.
But it appears to me that the NRA may be rolling a rock up hill when it comes to the nation’s attitude about gun control. I don’t expect any new bills to restrict gun ownership. I wouldn’t, however, bet against it eventually taking more time to buy certain kinds of guns so that more thorough background checks can be done.
Common sense just might prevail for a change.
Now if only the same could be said of our nation’s tax policies and federal spending.
