Earlier today, I mentioned having wrestled with writer’s block.
After posting those 500 words, I was reminded of this scene in “A River Runs Through It.”
The 1992 film by Robert Redford was based on a 1976 novella by Norman Maclean. I’m sort of ashamed to admit I’ve never read the book — I really should. But I really liked the movie.
And this scene offers a pretty good lesson on learning how to write.
