Some stories have happy endings. Here is the lede to a story being reported today by my newspaper, the Muscatine Journal.:
Rescue crews found Violet Reinsager at 11:57 a.m. today near Climer and Logan streets. An ambulance was sent to pick her up.
Reinsager, 94, wandered off earlier today from her home in the 1100 block of Logan Street.
It’s been a week when we could use some good news in Muscatine. It’s incredible how many people came out and helped search or this elderly woman.
That we have already reported three versions of this story and are working on the fourth — and I’m writing about all of it here — illustrates how much the world is changing. I just hope I can keep up.
